That Other Label and Pacific Coast Jazz have partnered with an established indie producer/publisher with strong LA film and TV contacts. We are seeking unsigned singer-songwriters and bands with top quality recorded material for licensing opportunities in television and film. If you are a singer-songwriter or a band with original music, please answer the following questions then send us an email:

Are you already a member of BMI, ASCAP or SESAC? (if you’re not already, you can click on each organization to read about joining).

Do you own your own master for the song(s) you’re interested in licensing?

Do you own all your own publishing for the song(s) you’re interested in licensing?

Are your songs registered with a Performing Rights Organization such as BMI, ASCAP or SESAC, naming you as owner of 100% of publishers share and 100% of writers share)?

Do you have all the paperwork to show copyright registration or application for copyright application for any of the songs you want to license?

If you are signed to a management company or other agent, do you have the paperwork or the written okay indicating that you are permitted to freely enter into a publishing agreement for licensing opportunities?

Have you ever signed a non-exclusive licensing agreement for any of the songs that you’re interested in licensing through us?

We cannot work with you in licensing arrangements if:

If you’ve signed any other publishing agreement for these songs, we are not able to work with you in our licensing efforts.

If you used a sample or excerpt from another artist’s work in your song(s), they would not be eligible for our licensing agreement.

ALL SONGS MUST BE YOUR ORIGINALS.

What we will need if we work together:

All paperwork as discussed above – our attorneys will be reviewing all paperwork, and it all needs to be in order.

Prompt response to all inquiries; all inquiries will come directly through Pacific Coast Jazz or That Other Label Management.

Artist Marketing Materials – including video clips of performance, photo images in digital format, CD’s, bios, press on the band and a list of all your website addresses including MySpace pages.
